Business Valuations

Your business is an investment and knowing the value of your business can be critical in many situations. In fact, many business owners find that the best investment they have ever made is their closely-held business; and for many it is the largest asset they own. Just as knowing the value of your stock portfolio is important, so is knowing the value of your business and more importantly, how to increase its value potential.

Business valuations are not an exact science but rather are measures based on expertise, judgment and experience. The professionals at Tompkins & Peters CPAs, P.C. use a systematic process to value your business in order to provide you with an unbiased, reliable valuation that produces results with a high degree of support. These professionals are Certified Valuation Analysts (CVA) and uphold the rigorous standards set out by the
National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). The CVA credential requires practitioners to demonstrate that they are qualified to provide capable and professionally executed valuation services and requires adherence to ongoing recertification with Continuing Professional Education and other requirements.
